Where did life take you after BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?

After BOA Stage and Screen, I took a year off before starting my broadcast journalism course at the University of Salford. During my year off, I worked freelance with the BBC Academy on multiple events, and travelled before Uni.

What was your fondest memory of BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?

My fondest memory of BOA Stage and Screen was definitely creating the final two projects. The Social Curve documentary and The Limbic Lounge podcast. Working with Jess, the two of us produced these projects with the help of some of our mates, but seeing the results of these from just the two of us planning was huge. They were also the two projects that were completely our own, so tailored to our future careers.

Why did you attend BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?

I attended BOA Stage and Screen because I knew it was the best place to kickstart me into the industry, expanding my knowledge on everything. It is acclaimed for boosting people into the industry, and I'm glad I took the risk to travel into Birmingham for college.

Lastly, why should students apply for BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy?

I'd say to apply to BOA Stage and Screen because it is the best place to get you into the industry. The industry links and contacts that you get are second to none, and the whole two years is worth it when you get to go fully solo on the final project.

Lastly, a piece of advice for current learners: Keep going. It is intense at times, since the work is industry standard, but keep pushing and the results are all worth it the other side.
